The hardest thing to establish when evaluating an LMS is the outside evidence behind a vendor's claims. Everything in a vendor deck was written by the vendor, and vendors write in their own favour. We are no exception.
So this page is built differently. It carries only records we do not control: 33 articles published by third-party outlets, 3 awards adjudicated and granted by their organising bodies, and a certification record posted by the certifying authority on its own site. Korean headlines are quoted as the outlet wrote them, with a plain English gloss; the intensifiers that sit in our own blog headlines were left behind.
And we would ask you not to take our word for any of it. The section “how to verify this yourself” below walks through querying the certifying authority's registry with us out of the loop. Evidence you can reproduce is the only kind that belongs in a procurement file.

- Set the search field to company (organisation) name and enter
뉴인, the legal entity name. Searching for “TouchClass” returns nothing — the certificate is held by the company, not the brand. - Compare the result with the table on the left. The registry shows the certificate number, the certified scope, the validity window and the maintenance status.
What ISMS-P actually requires
“We hold the certification” means nothing on its own. It only starts to mean something once you know what has to be passed. Below is the current criteria set as published by the certifying body.
Three domains, 101 criteria in total. The policy bodies are Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission; the certifying bodies are KISA and the Financial Security Institute. A certificate is valid for 3 years and stays subject to audit throughout — the “maintained” status in the registry above is the result of that.

A third-party record that is not press — a webzine interview published by the Korea Communications Agency (KCA): “Hot Clips Vol.75 — 줌인 인터뷰: ㈜뉴인 김수영 이사” (Government SW export commercialization program; entry into the Japanese market). The page carries no publication date, so we state none — we do not estimate dates we could not confirm.
Don't take our word for it. Check.
A vendor saying “we are certified” and a certificate appearing in the issuing authority's registry
carry entirely different weight in a procurement file. All three checks below work without us.
1. ISMS-P — query the certifying authority's registry
- Open the ISMS-P certificate issuance registry, the public register operated by the Korea Internet & Security Agency.
- Set the search field to company (organisation) name and enter
뉴인. The certificate is held by the legal entity, so “TouchClass” alone returns nothing. - Check that the registry returns certificate ISMS-P-KISA-2025-066, the certified scope, validity 2025-12-03 → 2028-12-02, and maintenance status.
2. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 — verify by certificate copy
- ISO/IEC 27001 certificates are issued by a certification body. Unlike ISMS-P, there is no single national public register to query.
- So we do not print a certification body, certificate number or expiry date for it on this page. If a number cannot be checked against a public register, you have no way to verify what we typed — and a number you cannot verify is decoration, not evidence.
- The third-party evidence for the certification itself is the Electronic Times article of 13 September 2022. For due diligence, request the certificate copy through contact us and you will receive the original, with the body, number and validity printed on it.
3. Awards — cross-check the body against the coverage
- Brandon Hall Group publishes its EdTech award category. Because the winners directory is search-driven with no stable per-winner link, use the Kyunghyang Shinmun article of 6 December 2024 as the citable evidence.
- We could not find official winner-announcement pages from the Korea HRD Association or the Ministry of Education, and we did not manufacture links to stand in for them. Each award instead carries coverage from two or three separate outlets.
- Where several outlets ran the same press release on the same day, the table says so. Outlet count is not verification strength.

Marking the line between what can and cannot be used as evidence serves your review as much as it serves us.
Caveats worth reading before you cite anything here
- No ranking or superiority is claimed. The awards and certifications above mean a given assessment was passed. They do not mean the product is superior to any competing product. We have never surveyed competitors' award or certification history, so we make no exclusivity or ranking statements.
- Article count is not credibility. A wire-distribution outlet, an editorial feature and a sponsored slot carry different weight. The tables label which is which.
- Figures printed inside the articles are mostly ours. Outlets quoted material we supplied; they did not measure anything. We do not describe such numbers as “verified by the press.”
- Customer awards belong to customers. Some customers have won HRD awards for programs they ran on TouchClass. Those awards are theirs, and we do not move them into our own record.
- A certification covers a management system. ISMS-P and ISO/IEC 27001 certify an organisation's management system within a defined scope. They do not warrant that any individual feature is defect-free. Control-by-control detail is on the security page.
- Press coverage is true as of its publication date. Linked articles reflect what was accurate when they ran. In particular, the usage figures in the 2020 articles are six years old.

Which security certifications does TouchClass hold?
Two, held concurrently: ISMS-P (Korea's combined information security and personal data protection management system certification) and ISO/IEC 27001:2022. ISMS-P is certified by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). The certified entity is Newin Corp., the certificate number is ISMS-P-KISA-2025-066, the certified scope is "online education platform services (TouchClass, TouchClass Eco, NewCampus)", and it is valid from 3 December 2025 to 2 December 2028. These values are not our claim — they are printed in KISA's public certificate registry, which anyone can query.
Can a third party verify the certification independently?
For ISMS-P, yes. On KISA's ISMS-P portal, open "ISMS-P Certificate Issuance Status" and search the company-name field for 뉴인 (Newin). The registry returns the certificate number, the certified scope, the validity period and whether the certificate is currently maintained. For ISO/IEC 27001, the certificate is issued and held by a certification body and we have not confirmed a public registry route for it, so we provide a copy of the certificate on request rather than pointing you at a lookup we cannot guarantee.
What does ISMS-P actually require?
It is a Korean national certification. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission are the policy bodies; KISA is the certifying body. The criteria are grouped into three domains, and the current set published by KISA totals 101 criteria: 16 for management system establishment and operation, 64 for protective measure requirements, and 21 for personal-data lifecycle requirements. A certificate is valid for three years and remains subject to audit during that period.
What awards has TouchClass received?
Three. Gold in the EdTech category of the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Awards (December 2024, reported by The Kyunghyang Shinmun); the Grand Prize in the Education Solution category of the Korea HRD Award, hosted by the Korea HRD Association (April 2022, reported by Newswire); and the Top Award in the Solution category of the 16th EdTech Excellence Company Contest hosted by Korea's Ministry of Education (September 2020, reported by The Dong-A Ilbo and two other outlets). Do awards won by customers count as TouchClass awards?
No. Some customers have won HRD awards for programs they ran on TouchClass. Those awards belong to the customer. We do not move them into our own award list, and our customer-case pages state plainly who won them.
How many press articles are listed in the newsroom?
33 articles published by third-party outlets. The outlet, the publication date and the original link are published for every one, and headlines are reproduced as the outlet wrote them. Where several outlets ran the same press release on the same day, that is one distribution rather than several independent verifications, and the page marks those groups as such.
Are the figures inside those articles independently verified?
Mostly not. Usage figures and content counts printed in the articles come from materials we distributed; the outlet quoted us. They are not independent measurements, so we do not describe them as "verified by the press." What does constitute third-party verification is the ISMS-P registry record published by the certifying authority, and awards adjudicated and granted by their organizing bodies.
Is the "170,000 cumulative learners" figure from 2020 coverage still current?
No. It was a company-announced figure as of August 2020 and it is six years old. Please do not cite it as a description of current scale. Current operational data, together with how it is calculated and what the sample is, is published on the LMS operations benchmark page.
